Kristin Hatland is an international award winning contemporary artist working from her studio in Clevedon, New Zealand. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts - Visual, Dip. Comp. The study of philosophy encompasses what it means to be human and the human condition: mind and body. It is also accepted that abstract art allows the viewer the most freedom to interpret, think about and enjoy the art on his or her own terms according to their unique values.
'Philosophy seek via its many iterations to explain life. My art expresses elements within philosophy that resonates and gives a purpose that will take me or any other curious person onto a path of discovery. The viewer's own interpretation plays a key role in my work and functions as a silent exchange of thoughts and ideas.'
Her artworks are exhibited hand displayed in private collections in New Zealand and overseas.
